High precision and strength in pultruded profiles

Specialized in the manufacturing of pultruded fiberglass and carbon fiber profiles, our high chemical resistance pultruded profiles are ideal for industrial applications requiring durable and lightweight materials. At Polymec, we use the advanced pultrusion process to deliver custom pultruded profiles tailored to the specific needs of each client. We have the expertise to produce pultruded profiles that combine strength and precision. As a pultruded composite profile manufacturer, we have the high-quality pultruded profile that fits your needs.

Fiberglass

Roving and fiberglass fabrics are materials composed of numerous continuous glass filaments. They are produced by allowing molten glass to flow through a perforated plate with calibrated holes which, once solidified, provides the necessary flexibility to be used as fiber.

Its properties include good thermal insulation, chemical inertness to acids, and resistance to high temperatures. These characteristics, together with the low cost of its raw materials, have made it widely used in many industrial applications.

Carbon fiber is a synthetic material made up of thousands of carbon filaments.
Its mechanical properties are similar to steel, while being as lightweight as wood or plastic. It has a wide range of applications, especially in the aerospace and automotive industries, where materials combining high strength and low weight are required.

Resins are liquid synthetic substances responsible for giving consistency to the fibers in the pultrusion process.
They have a pasty consistency and are insoluble in water. There are several types of resins, each of which gives the final products different characteristics.

  • Polyester, either Orthophthalic or Isophthalic

  • Acrylic

  • Vinylester-Epoxy

  • Bio-resins and/or recycled resins

  • Terephthalic resins
