Designed to deliver maximum strength and rigidity with minimum weight and high performance, our carbon fiber profiles are the best alternative to traditional materials such as steel. They are widely used in sectors like construction, marine, aerospace and automotive industries.

At Polymec, we manufacture each carbon fiber profile through advanced pultrusion processes, ensuring precision and quality in every piece. In addition to FRP profiles, we offer solutions in fiberglass reinforced plastics, providing innovative products that combine lightness, durability and corrosion resistance.

If you need carbon fiber profiles or any other reinforced fiberglass plastic components, we can help you find the best solution for your project.

Carbon profiles

If you are looking to buy carbon fiber profiles with the best guarantees, excellent materials and custom manufacturing, we are your best choice.

As a leading supplier of composite components, at Polymec we also offer fiberglass sheets and other FRP products designed to maximize efficiency and safety in any application.

Our carbon fiber profiles stand out for their excellent structural performance, even in the most demanding applications. Their combination of rigidity, light weight and thermal stability makes them ideal for projects requiring precision, high mechanical strength and weight efficiency, such as drones, mobile structures, automotive components or advanced industrial design elements.

Thanks to pultrusion technology and our exhaustive quality control at every stage of manufacturing, Polymec guarantees consistent, stable and customizable profiles. We work with high-performance composite materials and adapt the design to the specific needs of each sector, both in dimensions and fiber/resin types used.

Moreover, our offer is not limited to standard profiles: we develop custom solutions and special components in FRP and carbon fiber, meeting the most specific technical requirements. Contact our team for advice and discover how our profiles can add value to your projects by reducing weight without compromising strength or durability.

Faqs

What advantages does fiberglass-reinforced plastic offer compared to traditional materials such as steel or aluminium?

POLYMEC FRP products offer high strength with a weight considerably lower than that of steel or aluminum. In addition, unlike metals, FRP is not affected by corrosion and is resistant to various chemical substances. Our FRP products also retain their mechanical properties even under extreme environmental conditions such as UV radiation, humidity and temperature fluctuations over long periods of time.

Our products are durable and lightweight, making them ideal for a wide range of applications. They are characterized by their corrosion resistance, electrical insulation, high-temperature resistance, light weight and versatility in shapes.

Standard pultruded profiles have a minimum thickness of 2 mm. If a client has a special project requiring a smaller thickness, POLYMEC can analyze and develop it together with the client.

With more than 45 years of experience, Polymec has successfully manufactured round profiles with a thickness of less than 2 millimeters.

Pultruded profiles are available in different colors. The coloration is achieved by mass-dispersing a color paste of the specified RAL: when mixed with the other components of the polymer matrix and the reinforcing fibers, it undergoes a slight color shift compared to the original RAL.

Pultruded profiles cannot be transparent due to the presence of reinforcing fibers, mineral fillers and additives mass-dispersed within the matrix.

Pultruded profiles can be painted just like aluminum or steel.

3D prints of the profile can be made to verify joints and/or design quality, but a pultruded profile cannot be prototyped in terms of composition (reinforcement and matrix) and therefore mechanical properties, unless the final production mold has been manufactured.

Pultruded profiles are made with a thermoset polymer matrix and therefore cannot be bent or melted.

Pultruded profiles cannot be welded; to join them they can be bonded, screwed or riveted.
